To pursue righteousness, peace, and joy by faith, hope, and love, through worship, teaching, and good works.
OUR HISTORY
Celebrating 75 years
On May 10, 1942, Rev. and Mrs. Charles Stutzman began Sunday School meetings at Swartout School on Swartout Road. Later in the year, the Starville Church building was offered to them for rent, so as to conduct a full schedule of church meetings. In 1949, Starville Community Church was incorporated and the property was purchased in 1959. Rev. Stutzman pastored for 29 years, until his death in 1971, when Mrs. Stutzman served interim until the arrival of Pastor and Mrs. Robert Tucker in November 1971. A new church facility was constructed on the original site and dedicated in 1985.
WE BELIEVE
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe the only way to heaven is through the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We believe that water baptism by immersion should follow receiving Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that miracles, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4) and all gifts of the Spirit are available to the Church today for the edifying and perfecting of its members. We believe that everyone will be resurrected (saved and unsaved) and give an account to the Great Judge, whose judgment is final and eternal.
